A fair and balanced summary. I was a TEK investor (unfortunately!) Much as I’d like Lucyd to succeed I can’t help but feel that their products fill a gap … that doesn’t actually exist.
Take the safety glasses … I wear cheap eBay ones to perform DIY projects … drilling, spraying, sawing … I can’t begin to imagine why I’d ever need to talk into them instead of just taking my phone out and using that for whatever it is I need to check. Is it just me?!
Absolutely agree and this has been my experience where the alternative is a walkie talkie clipped to your side or at best a lapel microphone. It's also not beyond the pale that in the future an ERP or WMS (Enterprise Resource Planning or Warehouse Management System) could use the AI functionality to create database queries using voice. For example, I need to pick an XYZ widget where are they located?
Also away from Armor, and back to the B2C market while younger generations love their texts and IMs who knows perhaps walkie talkieing will be the next "thing"? In their words it will be "sick".

The one space that is really can see them working is across an organisation such as construction, warehousing, hospitals or even military.
Anywhere that already relies on communication.
